Taipei ︱Cherry Blossoms at Tian Yuan Gong Temple

(Jan-Mar) Tian-Yuan Gong temple(天元宮) is located in Tamsui, New Taipei City(新北市淡水). It's the most famous cherry blossom attraction in Taiwan.

Tian-Yuan Gong has two main different kinds of cherry blossoms. One is San-Se cherry trees(三色櫻) which blossom from early Jan to Feb. Another one is Yoshino cherry trees(吉野櫻) blossom from late Feb to Mar.

Today, the Yoshino cherry flowers were about 100%  in bloom. It's extreme crowded during this season, even on the weekday. It's better to come here by public transportation than driving.

"Temple of Heaven" is the main building at Tian-Yuan Gong temple. This building has 5 floors around with the cherry blossoms. The architecture appearance seems to imitate the Temple of Heaven in Bejing.

The top of the tower has a great view to overlook this beautiful place. If you have spare time when you back to Tamsui Sation. You can hang around Tamsui Old Street.
