Taipei ︱Dawn Redwood Forest in Yangmingshan

(Oct-Nov) The dawn redwood forest is located near the Lengshuikeng Recreation Area (冷水坑遊客中心) at the Yangmingshan National Park. When autumn comes, the leaves turn yellow. It becomes a golden forest.

The dawn redwood forest, the red area on the map, is located near the Lengshuikeng Recreation Area.

These trees belong to a private farm. The owner's phone number is showed on the fence. You can call the owner to get the entry with paying some cleaning fee. Otherwise you can just take photos of outside.

That is Mt. Qixing (七星山), the highest peak in Taipei. The peak offers an excellent panoramic 360° view of such natural and cultural landscapes such as the Mt. Datun peaks,
The North Coast settlements and its surroundings, the Mt. Huangzui peaks, Mt. Guanyin, and the Taipei metropolitan area.

This bird's-eye view was taken from the 2nd floor of the Lengshuikeng Recreation Area.

There are many walking trails around the Lengshuikeng Recreation Area. After you check the bus timetable, you can go for a short stroll and wait for the bus.
