Taoyuan｜Chive Flowers in Daxi

(Sep) The blooming chives are located between Daxi(大溪) and Yingge(鶯歌). There is no public transportation to go there. It's a part of cycling trails of New Taipei City so it's better to rent a bike cycling in the beautiful countryside scenery.

Public Transportation
No public transportation. My suggestion is to ride a train to Yingge Station(鶯歌火車站). It's easy to find a bike rental around the station. Hire a bike and about 30-50 min cycling, you will arrive the destination. Otherwise you can just take a taxi from the station.

The Chives are planted on the both sides of Daying Road(大鶯路). The flower color is white so someone calls it "September Snow".

Chives are almost always added to a dish at the end of cooking in order to preserve their mild onion flavor. Chive blossoms are edible too, and carry that same delicate flavor.

It is a part of cycling trails. You can bike to the famous attraction, Daxi Old Street, along this road. Don't forget to enjoy some Daxi dried beans(大溪豆干) there.
